When was the moment when you really knew yourself.
Inside and out, up, down and sideaways.
Me? The road to Damascus moment came was 9 years ago
all right, and it was a shocker.
Stevie
A little over eleven years ago now.
That terrible moment turned my world upside down, but looking back it was the greatest thing that could've ever happened to me.
The soul, if you can call it this, enters a night of deep darkness; and the struggling to find a way out, some light in all the confusion, heightens the senses so much that you're left feeling complete, you're left feeling connected to something you'd never been aware of.
Weakness, fear, just so many other emotions, toss you around, even the universe and everything that is known to be in it, seem indifferent to what you're experiencing.
Then a time when you seek solitude, , seclusion from whatever it is that you've been connected to before this moment, comes, and long introspection is how you pass the time. This is when you really learn about yourself, when you really learn to understand who you are; and why you do the things you do, say the things you say, thinkthe the things you think, feel the things you feel, dream the things you dream, etc.
Of course, learning about yourself is a process that wil continue till the day you die, but experiencing a moment like this, when you really know yourself, is probably something that happens only once in a lifetime.
Is it better for a person to experience such a moment earlier on in life, or later on in their old age? What do you think?

I learned at 15 in rehab.
I was wheeled in petrified and angry as a rabid dog.
After serving 6 months I wheeled out, a man and
damn sure of who I was.
until then, I'd no feickin clue, Stevie O'Brien? Who was he.
I think I'm still waiting for mine.
The greeks carved it over the entry to the oracle of Delphi. Know thyself.
They tended to know what they were on about, that lot.
